About Us

Kirsten and Kelly have five children and six grandchildren, which is the reason we built this home. This family retreat is grandchild approved and offers much for those who enjoy spending time together. We love movies in our theatre room, cooking in the full kitchen, and making memories with family and friends. Now in our 60s, we strive to live fully and enjoy every day at our country getaway near Lake Murray.

We cherish this house, as it brings us immense happiness and family time, and we hope you enjoy staying at McGonigal Manor Oklahoma as much as we do.

Welcome to McGonigal Manor in Oklahoma, a stunning 3500 square foot house set on a secluded, wooded five-acre plot—perfect for a country getaway. While it offers privacy, you’ll find neighbors nearby, providing a charming community feel. Enjoy the convenience of being just a 15-minute drive from Lake Murray Marina, 30 minutes to Lake Texoma, and only 20 minutes from downtown Ardmore, making this an ideal family retreat.

**Other Things to Note**

**Please Note #1:** We are proud to stand by the Living Wage Pledge, ensuring fair pay for our housekeeping service at a rate of $25 an hour. They meticulously clean everything, including sheets, towels, and blankets, both before your check-in and after your check-out. We are dedicated to your well-being and safety as well as that of our housekeeping staff, who do an excellent job maintaining our beloved home.

**Please Note #2:** We consider requests for stays shorter than four nights on a case-by-case basis, so don't hesitate to contact us with your specific needs.

**Please Note #3:** This is not just a short-term rental; it is our cherished second home. While it provides the comforts of a family retreat, it carries traces of our life here. You may notice that the baseboards aren’t perfectly clean or the kitchen drawers may not be tidily organized. However, you won’t find another home as ready for your family, complete with a plethora of amenities to enjoy. We invite you to relax and treat it as your own during your stay.

**Please Note #4:** We are animal lovers at McGonigal Manor and welcome up to three furry friends to join you on your adventures. If you have more, please contact us; we’re happy to try and accommodate your needs. We kindly ask that you keep pets off the furniture, clean up after them outside, and use the provided kennel when leaving them unattended. A poop scoop is conveniently located on the back patio. We understand the challenge of adjusting to new spaces, so feel free to use the sheets and towels located in the laundry room to cover your pets’ favorite spots. When you leave, please toss the used linens into the laundry pile.

**Please Note #5:** While we adhere to our cancellation policy, we understand that life is unpredictable. We encourage you to purchase travel insurance, and we have had positive experiences with Allianz and World Nomads.

**Please Note #6:** As a pet-friendly rental, we strive to keep the home clean for all guests. Special cleaning tools are provided for pet hair on furniture and in laundry. However, please be aware that pet hair may still be present in the air and vent systems. Upon arrival, you will have one hour to either accept the home as is, request additional cleaning, or cancel your stay without penalty. We aim to ensure a positive experience for everyone at McGonigal Manor.
